Living Stillness Retreat
September 27th - October 3rd, 2025 • Gallin, Germany
This is not your average silent retreat
LIVING STILLNESS offers a unique space for deep connection and lasting transformation, set in a beautiful, nature-rich location near Hamburg. The first two days are dedicated to encounter workshops and process work that invite participants into genuine relationship—with others and with themselves—laying the foundation for the days ahead.
This is followed by three days of guided silence, supported by yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices to help connect with one’s deepest essence.
With a focus on spirituality and integration, the retreat is designed to bridge the gap between profound inner experiences and daily life, making it a true catalyst for lasting change.
Retreat Language: German
“The quieter you are, the more you can hear.”
- Ram Dass
Silence & Meditation
The heart of the retreat is three days of silence, during which the group will meditate together, practice yoga, and reflect on different facets of themselves. During this time, participants will also have moments for personal exploration, where they can, for example, take long walks in the surrounding forest or go swimming.
Each participant experiences the retreat in their own way. By setting aside all roles and practicing being fully present—without external distractions, to-dos, or expectations—something truly transformative can occur. Throughout the retreat, participants will receive an overview of meditation techniques drawn from various traditions.
In the tradition of Hridaya Yoga and Ramana Maharshi, special attention is given to the heart as both a meditation object and an organ of perception.
"So much happened! Overall, I can say that these days have triggered an incredible amount in me, and in the most positive way. I've always been interested in spirituality, but I feel like my journey has only just begun. I'm truly hungry for similar spaces and encounters. Letting go and connection are the key words I'm taking with me."
- Alona, New Year's Eve Retreat 2025
Workshop & Impulses
With inner work, we always reach a limit on our own at some point, a point beyond which we simply cannot go any further. Introspection is especially profound and lasting when we are able to gather reference experiences and receive individual support in "safe spaces." The workshops at LIVING STILLNESS are designed to best accompany you through your process and transformation.
You'll receive inspiration for reflection on creative writing and learn tools for authentic encounters—with others and, above all, with yourself. Sophia and Felix will support you on all levels of perception and, together, you will integrate visions and possibilities for (re)orientation.
During the silence, you will receive insights from non-dualism, Sufism, Buddhist teachings, Western mysticism, and contemporary cognitive science. This is your opportunity to enter into deep reflection and reconnection, strengthening your spiritual practice.

Yoga & Embodiment
Memories and emotions are stored in our bodies and can become ingrained. Inner work always involves somatic work if we want to incorporate all of our parts. Conscious bodywork and connecting with our feelings are therefore an essential part of our practice.
This week, we'll connect with our inner selves primarily through embodiment and gentle movement. Sophia teaches Gentle Vinyasa, Slow Flows, and Embodied Movement. Felix leads classic Hatha Yoga classes in the Tantric tradition and moving meditations.
It doesn't matter whether you already have yoga experience or are just beginning your asana practice. Our sessions are suitable for all levels. Especially during the first few days, we have time for assists and support you with your alignment.

Meet your hosts

“I am convinced that we all have our own unique pace. Finding a pace in movement and creativity that feels integral in the present moment is the focus of my work. Through our authentic expression, we can listen to our soul and body on all levels to achieve a lasting, deep connection with ourselves and our relationships.”

“After completing my philosophy studies, I stumbled upon my first silent retreat and inevitably had the impression that I could feel myself much closer to truth in silence than I ever had at the academy. So I spent several years at the Hridaya Yoga meditation school and now dedicate myself to the task of reconciling transcendental glimpses of light with the oh-so-human worlds of thought and emotion. Always following my heart.”
