Food
We will enjoy delicious food prepared by the wonderful Mélanie Wehrli .
Mélanie is an intuitive chef and multidisciplinary artist who began her career in hospitality 12 years ago while studying fashion design in Melbourne. She loved caring for guests in the restaurant where she worked while creating a positive, vibrant energy around her. She grew up with a mother who always paid attention to a balanced, healthy diet, which naturally inspired her personal cooking style.
In 2015, she moved to Berlin and quickly found herself in the kitchen of a lovely vegetarian café in Kreuzberg. She then worked at Father Carpenter and Isla Café, and in the meantime, she founded her own pop-ups, CHEZ ELLA and PIQUE NIQUE BY US, with her friend Chelsea Turowsky.
Today, Mélanie lives in Berlin and devotes her time to her own cooking. Her dishes are simple, nutritious, and pleasing to the eye. She places great emphasis on nutrition, taste, and aesthetics.
If you have any allergies, please let us know at least two weeks before the retreat begins.

Birgit Brammer is a deeply experienced yoga teacher whose path has been shaped by a life of curiosity, connection, and global exploration.
Her journey spans more than a decade of living and traveling with her family across Asia and Africa, where she absorbed rich cultural perspectives and deepened her yoga practice. These formative years, paired with a diverse range of teacher trainings—from trauma-sensitive yoga to neuroscience-informed approaches—inform her gentle yet powerful style today.
Birgit teaches with clarity, empathy, and presence, offering practices that strengthen the body, settle the mind, and restore balance. Her approach is rooted in resilience, joy, and a deep belief in the healing power of conscious movement.
After facing a serious illness five years ago, Birgit’s relationship to energy, presence, and purpose shifted profoundly. Now, each session she leads is an invitation to meet life with softness and strength—and to honor the body as a sacred companion through it all.
She continues to study, evolve, and share yoga not as a performance, but as a source of clarity, steadiness, and renewal.

The charming historic guesthouse is located in Bahnitz, in the beautiful Westhavelland Nature Park, 90 minutes west of Berlin by car. Of course, I'm happy to try to connect interested yogis for carpooling. Getting there by train is also super easy – from Berlin, the RE 1 train takes an hour to Wusterwitz. From there, it's just under 20 minutes by minibus to Bahnitz, although the costs can be shared.

Besides a lot of anticipation, maybe something to write with & maybe swimwear including a large towel in case you feel brave enough to jump into the Havel or want to use the sauna.
