Meet your hosts

  • For Shawna, yoga and sound are an act of self-love and connection—with herself, her surroundings, and nature. In her classes, she takes a holistic approach to harmonize body, mind, and spirit. Through gentle movement, breathwork, and sound, she creates a space for relaxation, restoration, and renewed energy. Wherever you are on your journey, Shawna is here to support you in finding balance and serenity.

  • Annika is a certified Hatha/Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher. She firmly believes that through the great gift of movement and breath, we are able to reconnect with our true selves. Her classes are carefully and passionately structured to meet everyone where they are in their practice and support each person in finding their own unique path of practice.

  • Mélanie Wehrli is a multidisciplinary artist and self-taught cook with over 12 years of experience. She loves to playfully prepare healthy dishes that are also pleasing to the eye. With her passion for creation, she cooks simple, intuitive, and creative dishes that nourish our whole being.

  • No. We will always give different variations and modifications in the classes so that you can adapt the practice to your needs. However, we do not recommend this retreat for complete beginners.

  • Of course, you can participate while pregnant. Shawna is a certified prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher and can tailor her classes to your specific needs. We always offer options and variations to suit your needs.

  • We will be a maximum of 16 participants plus the team.

  • It's a 1.5 hour car journey from Berlin city center and 3.5 hours from Hamburg to Bahnitz, where Haven is located. If you are looking for a lift or could offer a lift with other participants, we are happy to help you arranging small groups to come together. If you are coming by train, take the RE1 from Berlin to Wusterwitz. From there we can book you a group taxi (the costs are shared by the group).

  • You should bring comfortable clothing for the yoga classes and anything else you need for your practice. If you plan to swim and/or use the sauna, please bring a swimsuit and an extra towel. We also recommend a good book to read, a journal for your thoughts, and weatherproof clothing for walks and outdoor excursions.
