Return to Center Retreat

August 28th - August 31st, 2025 • Bahnitz, Germany

As the vibrant energy of summer begins to settle, we invite you take a deep breath and return to yourself.

Return to Center is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and realign after the busyness of the past weeks. We invite you to come back to your home -- to your center, to the core of your being -- yourself.

What to expect:

• Katonah inspired asana practices

• Meditation & Breath Work

• Sound Baths

• Zen Thai Workshop

Return. Reset. Recenter.

‍This retreat blends the dynamic flow of Vinyasa, the stabilizing practice of Katonah-inspired yoga with the deep nourishment of Yin yoga, Sound Baths, and Zen Thai bodywork, creating the perfect balance between movement and stillness.

Through intentional practices, we’ll soften into the transition from summer’s intensity to the quieter rhythm of the coming season.

Expect mindful flows, grounding breath work, soothing sounds, nourishing meals, time in nature, sauna and simply moments of deep rest—all set against a backdrop of nature, community, and self-inquiry.

Whether you seek recalibration, restoration, or simply space to be, this retreat offers the opportunity to land back home within yourself.

The wonderful Vicky will cook delicious vegan food for us. She takes good care of our culinary needs and is selecting her products in a sustainable and seasonal way. Fresh fruits and vegetables filled with nuts, seeds, and healthy grains area big part of her kitchen.

After the morning practice she prepares us a nourishing breakfast/brunch. In the early afternoon there will be a lunch snack or coffee & cake and a full meal in the evening after our Yin practice.

Meet your hosts

  • Uta Eismann is a certified yoga teacher and mindfulness coach based in Berlin.

She has a background in contemporary dance and it was during her dance studies that she gained a deeper understanding of yoga and the impact it has on wellbeing.

Finding this practice empowered Uta to create a sense of inner peace and harmony, giving her the ability to tune in to how her body and mind feel each day.

Uta sees yoga and meditation as a way of connecting with her spiritual side and forming synergy between body, mind, and breath.

  • Valery is a Berlin-based Yoga teacher as well as a Zen Thai Shiatsu and Sound practitioner. With a background in Yoga, Zen Thai Shiatsu, and Sound trainings with international teachers, her passion lies in crafting strengthening and balancing Vinyasa classes with Katonah Yoga influences, as well as soothing Restorative sessions. Valery strongly believes that through regular yoga practice, individuals can transform, heal, and cultivate inner peace. When we return to our center, we create space for transformation to unfold—allowing it to ripple outward and support the collective.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. We will always give different variations and modifications in the classes so that you can adapt the practice to your needs. However, we do not recommend this retreat for complete beginners.

  • Of course, you can. We have had pregnant women in the past and we always offer options and variations depending on your needs.

  • We will be a maximum of 16 participants plus the team.

  • It's a 1.5 hour car journey from Berlin city center and 3.5 hours from Hamburg to Bahnitz, where Haven is located. If you are looking for a lift or could offer a lift with other participants, we are happy to help you arranging small groups to come together. If you are coming by train, take the RE1 from Berlin to Wusterwitz. From there we can book you a group taxi (the costs are shared by the group).

  • You should bring comfortable clothes for your yoga practice, your yoga mat (if possible) and anything else you need for your practice. If you feel like swimming and/or going to the sauna, bring your swimming gear and an extra towel. We also recommend bringing a good book to read, a journal for your thoughts and weatherproof clothing for nature walks and excursions.
