Tuning in, Tuning out - Movement Journey Special with Live Music

  • b23 23 Greifswalder Straße Berlin, BE, 10405 Germany (map)

Hosted by Eszter Kalóz and Hoiyan

Step into a deeper dimension of the Movement Journey - this time with the added magic of live music. In this special class, improvisational movement practice led by Eszter Kalóz meets the intuitive live musician Hoiyan / 'soft landing'. As you tune into your body, the music will tune into you - shifting, sensing, and flowing with the energy of the room. It’s an embodied conversation between body and sound, movement and music, the self and the collective.

It begins with a gentle somatic arrival to ground into your bodies and tune into inner awareness. From there, you will move into a shared exploration of dance & movement improvisation. You will follow different impulses, play with space and rhythm, and let yourself be moved by the music and by your own internal landscapes.

The liveset is an improvisation with freshly produced materials, created specifically for the occasion - through playful pedal-twisting, feeling out the electric guitar, and strategically weaving sounds from a colorful Reaper session. immerse your body and movement in acoustic resonance, electro textures, and field recordings - for a connecting experience that is calming, joyful, lush, and filled with possibilities.

This class is not about performing. It’s about listening and responding non-verbally. To yourself, to others, to the subtle language of movement and to the dynamic soundscape co-facilitating the session.

No prior dance or movement experience needed. Just bring your body, your curiosity, and clothes you can move in.
